In a display replete with hypocrisy and deception, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan stood before the joint Arab League and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit in Riyadh yesterday, attempting to veil his true intentions under the guise of peace advocacy. With disturbing irony, he spoke of peace and the resolution of conflicts even as his forces continue their brutal assault on the Sudanese people, claiming countless civilian lives daily through relentless airstrikes and aggression.

Al-Burhan addressed the Riyadh summit with his hands stained with the blood of innocent civilians, shadowed by the cries of the millions he has wronged. His facade of legitimacy and his hollow declarations cannot erase the truth: he is no more than a war criminal who must be held accountable for his actions and stand trial for the atrocities committed under his command.

To both regional and international observers, it is abundantly clear that al-Burhan has consistently evaded all meaningful peace commitments in addressing the Sudanese crisis. In stark contrast, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to peace and stability — a stance driven not by weakness, but rather by a genuine sense of responsibility and resolve. The world increasingly acknowledges our presence and control across much of Sudan — a testament to the RSF's dedication to restoring peace.

We reiterate once more that al-Burhan and his organization are nothing more than a terrorist faction devoid of any legitimate authority. Their arbitrary bombings and crimes against humanity today are fueled by a coup that they ignited solely for the benefit of the terrorist Islamic Movement and remnants of the former regime.

Our courageous RSF soldiers remain steadfast in their mission to dismantle the oppressive Port Sudan regime once and for all — and to build a new Sudan on the basis of peace, justice, and dignity for all our citizens.
